Christians & People of the Book 

     The Church of Thomas embraces all who do God's Work on Earth. We do believe that Christianity is the best way to do this. Our goal is to Grow better using Jesus' Teachings as our Guide. We include the Reconciler Gospel of Thomas in our readings with the New Testament Gospels. We also read the Old Testament for historical Guidance.

     Our hope is to learn with open hearts the lessons from this World. We believe that there are more than one lives on Earth. We believe in Heaven, Hell, God and the Enemy.

     We seek through our example to thwart the plans of the Enemy. Through example and action we make a difference in the World, aiding in small ways God's hopes for us.

     RGoT (50) Jesus said, “If someone asks you, ‘Where are you from?’ say to them, ‘I am from the Light, a place where The Light established itself through its own accord. The Light is easily seen through its images for Earth, Angels.’ If they ask you, ‘What proof do you have of this claim?’ say, ‘I Practice and Know unconditional Love.”

The Nature of Jesus 

     We see Jesus differently, but not unprecident. We do not see the Trinity the way many mainstream churches do. We believe that Jesus and the Holy Ghost are Twin Angels. We believe that Jesus is the highest Angel and Messenger of God. We do not think that God could be contained by an Earthly Body, because God is everywhere. Unlike when the Apostles Thomas and John were competing to defend their perceptions of Jesus, The Church of Thomas the Apostle is willing to live and let live. There is no reason in our minds why all Christians and People of the Book can not talk together.

     RGoT (77) Jesus said, “I who am the Light that is above all the Earth and all the Angels who guard her. I am the one who oversaw the beginning and I am in everything.  The One sent the Earth for me, and for it to be mine.  Saw a log in pieces, and I am there. Cleave a stone, and you will find me there.”

     RGoT (13) Jesus asked his students, “Whom do I remind you of, who do you think I am?”

       Peter said to him, though he recanted later because of pressure from John, “I see you are a righteous angel.”

     Mathew said, “You are a wise philosopher.”

     Thomas said, “You are my Master, more I am not able to say.”

     Jesus acknowledged their answers, “I am all you say and more, but I am not your Master, but a servant like you will become when you fully know The One. Because you have freely consumed my knowledge, you have become drunk from the bubbling spring, which I have shared. I share what you can understand at this time.”

     Taking Thomas with him Jesus walked a little ways off, telling Thomas three things. Jesus stayed to pray. Thomas returning to the other students, they asked him, “What secrets did Jesus share with you?”

     Thomas said, “If I share even one thing with you, you will want to stone me to death for blasphemy. The stones would then turn on you, burning and consuming you in the flames.” 

Reconciling the competing forces

     RGoT (106) Jesus said, “If you make the two one, you will become the true inheritors in The One. When you can reconcile the conflicts, then when you say, ‘Mountain, move away,’ it will uproot and move.

The Church and Money 

     In the Church of Thomas the Apostle the emphasis is on reflecting the Love you have from God on to others. If you have found God's Love you can not help but to express it in your actions everyday. Of all the churches today there is no mention of Tithing or Money.  

     RGoT (95) Jesus said, “If you have extra money, give it as though you will not be repaid, asking for no interest.”  

     It is a given that having God's Love you can give your resources directly to those in need. We trust you to allocate your gifts without strings attached, and in private. God knows you give, we will not pat you on the back to say good job. We know that if you gave with Love you already got a hug from Dad, God. Since there is no brick and mortar location there is no need for maintaining it.  

     RGoT (96) Jesus said, “Heaven is like a woman making bread.  She took a little yeast and concealed it with kneading in some dough. It spread to infect the whole loaf making it rise immensely. Love to is contagious.”

Where two or more are Gathered

     If we gather it is at homes as the Biblical times worshipers did.  It is fun to get together for fellowship and moral support. We love to sing and hear speakers talk about how God has changed our lives. Testifying is a great way to hearten those who need a shoulder to lean on.

     The speakers are not Ordained Ministers generally. Most of those do not like us. However Jesus did warn us that there would be a bumpy road here on Earth.  

     RGoT (32) Jesus said, “A city built on a high mountain and fortified will not fall, but it also can not be hidden.” “To do the right thing you earn protecting Love, but with visibility it makes you a target.”

     RGoT (16) Jesus said, “You may think that it is peace that I bring the world. You do not understand. I bring fire to cleanse the disease. I bring the sword of truth, which is Love. I am here to battle for your souls. You may stand alone if you follow me because there will be greed, hate, and lies from others. This will set the three against the two and the father against the son. And the daughter will stand against the mother. And the Clergy against the congregation.”

     RGoT (49) Jesus said, “Those who dare to stand alone, solitary and elect, though persecuted, will find The One’s embrace. You are from The One. You will return to The One.”

Dreams and Visions 

     We believe that dreams and visions are God's way of talking to us. We share these dreams and visions with each other using them as guides, warnings and lessons. When it feels needed we also pray for resolution of problems presented in these dreams.

     RGoT (103) Jesus said, “Blessed is the leader who knows with Dream and Prophesy where the brigands will attack. And being forewarned to gather, well arm and equip his army.”
